So according to Waddington “Method A” and to answer the question of this research that whether there is any differences between male and female translation in “And the mountain echoed” text it is inferred from this analysis based on this novel the male translator translate more accurately in “And the Mountains Echoed” than the female translator in this literary text. Because the number of factors of Waddington model in female translation are more than male translation.
5.2. Pedagogical Implications
The result of this researchsupports the idea that, literary translation does merit sociolinguistics examination and this supports the thesis that the gender of the translator has effect on the translation of literary texts and itseffects on the accuracy of the translation.
The findings of this study show that translation students and translation departments should consider the gender of the translator in literary texts.
This research can help to study the effect of translator’s gender and if his/ her accuracy can be beneficial to publishers and institutions in translation studies or even for educational institutions and when they are going to employ translator or second language teachers.
This research presents Waddington’s model for translation accuracy in investigating the impact of translator’s gender on literary translation.
5.3. Suggestions for Further Studies
The present study was carried out regarding the role of the gender of the translator on accuracy in translating “And the Mountains Echoed”. By taking a look on gender linguistics and 8 categories of Model A Waddington, therefore, it is recommended that further research be undertaken in the following areas:
Further works needs to be done in order to explore the effect of the age of the translator on accuracy in translating literary text.
Future research should therefore concentrate on the investigation of the effect of translator’s culture on translating literary text.
The following research could be study the effect of the translator’s ideology on translating literary text.
